Live a unique experience in a natural environment with all the comfort of a bivouac!

Following your arrival in Dakar, a vehicle drives you in the Sine Saloum region where you will spend the night in a camp on “La pointe de Sangomar”.

The next day, after a good breakfast, a dugout awaits to take you to the bivouac.

The dugout runs past “Sangomar” island which wee pass to our right. The islands “Dionoir” and “Niodior” on the left surround us to the end of the delta.

 

The “îlots nouveaux”, baptised so by « Fara toubab » the « white king of the Saloum » appear on marine maps as detailed small dots named « sand islands »

This microscopic island of a four KM perimeter is only known by a few and none really stays on them as we do.

They appear at the horizon, as if they were spurting from the bottom of the ocean.

It’s a the end of the world that you perceive, showing up on the deep blue sky, the ivory tops of the “raïmas” from our nomad camp.

Well-being flows from this spot, like the desire to take a deep breath of this new air.

The intracies of the mangrove form a labyrinth which at each bend unveils an island or a heap of a seashells, guardians of scared myths.

Discovering it takes time, we will make you fell it’s essence during your trip. Discover a wild universe from the sky, fly over the area in a ULM (micro light plane) amongst a flight of pink flamingo, follow the tracks of the “tane” at the back of beyond through “Serere” villages, speed along at 20 knots on an F40 catamaran in the Deltas of the Sine Saloum, ride up a “”Bolong” at the speed of current while discovering the mangrove and islands in pirogue, go trekking on the “tanes” of Guinsam and find ancient Venetian pearls or a ritual dance with dancers and musicians of Niouminka on the sacred island of Sangomar or simply rest on one of the many neighbouring islands, alone or accompanied, with or without a good book…
