The « Reve de Nomade » camp is 150 km south of Dakar in the delta of the Sine Saloum. The road trip from Dakar takes about 3 ½ hours.
- From Dakar go south to M’bour, about a 2 hour drive.
- From M’bour, go as far as Joal, about ½ an hour drive.
- After Joal take the track on the left in the direction of Sambadia/Fimela and drive about 20 mins on the sand track.
- At the heart of Sambadia village take to the right in the direction of Palmarin Djiffere.
- At the entrance of Palmarin Ngallou village take the track to your left.
- Follow the track to Palmarin/Ngounoumane, it leads to our camp.

Cell phones receive quite well in Senegal. You just need to set a world option with your operator. There are also quite a few private phone centres, where you can call and send and receive faxes. Internet cafes are available to receive or send mail.

A valid passport is enough for French and European Union citizens. Careful, the passport has to be valid minimum 6 months after the date of entry.
French is fluently spoken and understood by a large bracket of the population.

lt is always hot in Senegal, with exceptional sunniness. The freshest season is from December to mid-febuary, with average temperatures close to 24°C. The nights are fresh and pleasant in October and November and from mid-febuary to April with maximum temperatures at around 26°C. From July to September they reach 30°C.
There are two seasons :
- The dry season, October to June : Practically not a drop of rain.
- The rainy season, July to September : It is the winter season with more or less strong showers. It is after this season and up until may that the water of the mangrove is warm, thus allowing the catch of big fish.
